Kerala State Government is planning to encourage private sector participation in the creation of IT infrastructure.

While addressing to an assembly V. S. Achuthanandan, Chief Minister told that the Government is keen to provide adequate IT infrastructure in the State. He told that government has already provided 500 acres land in Thiruvananthapuram to establish Technocity and in 136 acres land in Kochi for this purpose. Government is developing satellite cities in all districts of the state to relieve pressure on the major cities of Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. The State will be made the destination of choice for knowledge-intensive and high-value ICT services.
