The ministry of health (MoH) has announced the latest set services, which would be offered online in Oman.


The first programme, e-Referral Engine would be launched in next year, which will replace paper based referrals between institutions. Initially it would be deployed to territory hospitals and alter on it would be extended to healthcare centres and other hospitals. Another programme named, e-Notification Engine is under construction which will birth and death notification. The MoH is also planning to develop Tele-Education and Tele-Medicine programme. Tele-Education will offer medical education for MoH staff through the country, while Tele-Medicine will allow physicians to receive expert consultation. Meanwhile, the ITA will coordinate portals to deliver the various government services online. The One Stop Shop (OSS) portal is basically for business community, which will deliver all the services of the OSS online. The OSS regroups six ministries and through its activities is expected to improve efficiency for entrepreneurs in their dealings with the different governmental institutions.
