The State Ministry of communications and information technology, Egypt, India is ready to help Egypt in the field of e-Governance, information security, capacity building, IT policy and IT industry promotion, telecom sector, e-Posts and setting up of IT parks.

 

According to Shakeel Ahmad, State Minister of Egypt, companies of both countries can work together for projects in the fields of e-Governance, IT education, IT Park and cyber security for protection of critical information infrastructure. The Telephone Consultants of India Limited (TCIL) can explore the possibilities for business opportunities and take up projects and consultancy work in Egypt in the field of rural communications. MoU will play major role between both countries for the bilateral cooperation in ICT sector. Both countries can work together in utilizing ICT in education and health sectors. The Egyptian Minister has also shown keen interest in knowing the functioning of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and Universal Service Obligation Fund in providing the telecom services in the rural areas.
