The Himachal Pradesh Government, India has introduced new software named ‘Him Bhoomi‘, unique software which automatically keeps land records. Himachal Pradesh is taking lead in e-Governance by launching a big computerization and application of information technology and IT enabled services.

The Him Bhoomi software helps for the maintenance of streamline land records. The software in under implementation in 12 Districts and 77 Tehsils are operational. The software will update the data of 19,352 villages in the state. The state was awarded with the Stockholm challenge award this year for land records computerization system software. The other software named, HimRis (The Himachal Registration Information System) software is already running in various Tehsils of the State. The HimRis software is a work flow application and helped the sub-register offices to undertake deed registration in an efficient, simple and speedy manner.
