Professor Muhammad Yunus of Grameen Bank, Bangladesh and, member, International Advisory Board of i4d magazine, has been accorded nobel peace prize for his relentless service rendered towards the economic empowerment of the poor and the marginalised.

Micro-credit has been one of  his innovative steps that was put into constant practice to pull people out of penury and place them on the road to self-reliance and dignity. This has led him to establish Grameen Bank to tap rural segments of his nation. Prof. Yunus is also a man of extraordinary vision. He envisions all round development of his nation integrating, the network of Information and Communication Technologies, the right kind of policies and youth power in harmony with the neighbourhood countries.
