It has dawned as pleasant surprise that state government's use of ICTs will save Queensland taxpayers at least $135 million per year.
Accordingly, the cabinet has considered the recommendations of the Service Delivery and Performance Commission's report on its review of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) governance in the Queensland Government. It comes as a welcoming aspect, as it may transform a new economy, where the Queensland Government delivers ICT enhanced services to do business with government. It is for the first time government is observing into the ICT framework for reorientation to ensure the decisions about ICT right across the government operations to align with its priorities.
