Information Technology Minister, India, Dayanidhi Maran unveiled 26 mission mode projects under the National e-Governance Plan, which would cost the Government around Rs 23,000 crore over the next five years to make its services more accessible to people electronically.
Unveiling the components of National e-Governance (NeGP) plan in New Delhi, Maran said that the plan aims at making government services easily accessible to the common man through e-Governance. Apart from 26 mission mode projects, the plan has eight support components. States will have the flexibility to add up to five state-specific projects.
