Norfolk schools is on precautionary steps to stop children accessing unsuitable sites on the web.

About 17 schools in the county have signed up to ‘securus’, a software package designed to detect, record and report all aspects of PC misuse including issues such as cyber bullying, racism, pornography and predator grooming.The service searches for inappropriate words and phrases in all applications and monitors for harmful activities, whether generated internally or externally, online or offline. Parents of the participating schools with the system are to get a home version free of charge.
