Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) opened its new e-fuel station in the city.

 

Speaking after the inauguaration, HPCL South Zone General Manager B Gururajan said the e-fuel station concept marked a shift from traditional pay-and-fill to multi-faceted stations.

 

The special features of the outlet include online product and quality monitoring and sale, computerised billing and online real time display of product density.

 

The customer can also access his account through internet and computer-aided vehicle management system.

 

The automation of the outlet would be completed by March-end, he said adding HPCL had 20,000 Drive Track Card customers.

 

A drive-in-card solution centre was also inaugurated. The centre facilitated remote loading, redemption of loyalty points and vehicle tracking.

 

HPCL Chief Regional Manager G Chiranjeevi said 20 outlets in the state would be automated within six months to ensure quality fuel.
