Hi-tech Jails

The Uttaranchal government in India has installed computerised technology in jails to serve two purposes: to strengthen security and to provide training to undertrials who can look forward to new life when they leave prison.
Though it demonstrates an attempt to move with the times there is a fear of techno-savvy criminals posing a threat to jail administration.
